Kage, Just Because

Some new Kage pictures, just because I haven't spent much time with him and felt like photographing him.

Time with Ganllon

Still trying to figure Ganllon out, so decided to spend some more time photographing him. One of the biggest drawbacks for the MSD sized crew is the ability to find a good wig, especially for the guys. I got this one in a while ago to try on Ganllon. It's still a little full, but I like the color and style.

The Elf Jude sculpt has another issue that furthers the difficulty in finding a wig...........his odd head size. He's probably a firm 6, so the 5/6 wigs are mostly too small, and the 6/7's are a little too big, as this one is. Add in elf ears and he's darn near impossible to fit properly.
It's a true struggle for me.

I do however love his sculpt. The pluses outweigh the minuses for me regarding this size too. I love that  props are a bit easier to find for me and I can use some of my indoor backgrounds that I bought for the 16" doll crew. The larger dolls, while gorgeous, are just harder to manipulate for photo taking, and I have truly run out of space for the larger doll boxes. I'm beginning to run low on space for the smaller boxes as well and really need to thin the herd.

Fog Gray

As I've been contemplating SartoriaJ's new crop of elves this year, in misty gray instead of last year's fog gray, I was inspired to get my favorite guy from last year's crop out for some new pictures. Last year SJ offered the option of purchasing the human head along with the fantasy head, and I took advantage with both Jude and Dominic's sculpts. I had my human Jude head painted with Elf Dominic's fog gray face up and just love how he turned out. So decided to share some new pics of Joran today.

I wasn't as enamored of the options we were given in the mini size of SJ's elves this year. The face ups and clothing overall didn't speak to me as much as last years crop. Maybe that's a good thing for my wallet.

The tunic Joran wears here is by my friend Robyn of Period Threads though, not SartoriaJ.
