Devlyn

I bought RD Damien from my friend Robyn with the idea to put either Leonard or the SartoriaJ Jude head on the body so I could use both of them in the story at the same time. Upon trying Ryland (SartoriaJ Jude) on the RD body, the S hook in the headcap is just too big to allow his head cap to fit properly, so Devlyn (who my Leonard will be known as in the Glade world) gets the body. It's a good fit with a little fiddling with the positioning of the S hook. I knew Dev (who he is known as to his friends and family) was mated to Rhi, but I wasn't sure about the rest of his backstory until I put him on the RD body...……..then he just started to spill it all out.

He has a real presence on this body, and with his new Chewin wig, looks a bit older. I'm anxious to get all the characters in place to start telling more of his story.

Nox

Nox finally got the hair I originally envisioned for him yesterday. The wig is from Chewin, who is a master at creating wonderful, realistic looking hairstyles for the dolls. For me, one of the hardest parts of getting a realistic look for the smaller FID size dolls is the hair. I have tried to get each of my FID guys hair from Chewin as it just really adds to their realism IMHO.

Nox is one of my harder guys to photograph because of the ebony resin. I was pretty pleased how this series of pictures turned out. I love his new wig. It really ties out his look for me and adds the bit of "fierceness" I was envisioning.

Now I just need to get back into the story telling groove...…...winter is hard as it isn't as easy to get them outside for pictures, so I've been in a bit of a slump. Hopefully as the weather starts to get a bit better, I'll be inspired to continue on with the actual story telling.

Fitting In

Still trying to decide where Drake might fit in and who he might work best with so took some general pics of him over the past couple of weeks with different characters to try and figure it out.

My first thought was that he could be Shy's human brother that she was raised along side...…...so put him with her to see what I thought. The jury is out, it could work...……...and Shy has ties to Daisha...

Then I thought he might be a childhood friend of Koehlon and Laurion, who grew up to be one of their guard. He actually looks quite a bit like Koehlon and could be his younger brother if only he had elf ears.

Being one of Koehlon and Laurion's inner circle could give him access to the palace, and could give him some friction with the Queen.

Then I thought maybe he had some past history with Rhi………..certainly looks like there could be some unsettled matters here.

Today I decided to test the waters with Daisha, and I have to admit I quite like them together and think there might be some history there as well.

Or some history in the making.

Drake

I still haven't figured out where this guy fits in exactly, but we at least have a name now...………...Drake.

He was out doing a little scouting today...………...even if it was a wee bit cold! I managed to knit a scarf for him out of the remaining yarn I had in this color to match the embroidery on this tunic. It's a bit short, but not too noticeable under the tunic.

I'm enjoying him much more than I originally thought I would. I got him mainly to steal his body for my RS Leonard head, who had his own body taken by Ryland (SJ Jude).

A Druid's Dress

Got a new package from my friend Robyn this week, with a new style dress for the girls. As I was putting it on Reaghan and taking pictures of it, I thought how perfect it was for her, as her character is a Druid and the dress really is befitting of what I imagine a Druid would possibly wear at times (the style if not the color choice).

The style is very versatile and the fabric drapes so nicely

I have a light blue one as well for Rhi. Robyn was also kind enough to include belts for the gowns to add to the versatility. They are open on the sides, allowing for the front piece to be belted and the back piece to still flow around it. I didn't take any pics of Reaghan wearing it that way for this photo shoot, but will take some at some point later.
